It's here boys and girls! The Cayo Perico DLC has been released!
"Unlike previous Heists, there is no specific style when it comes to approaching Cayo Perico.
Once you’ve gathered the necessary gear, you can choose to complete as much (or as little) set-up and planning as you want – though be warned that these decisions will, in turn, affect the way the action unfolds. If you want to call in an airstrike or use a cutting torch to burn through steel beams, for example, you would be well advised to put the time in beforehand. Once all the groundwork is laid down, you can nail down your final details before approaching Cayo Perico. These choices include how you infiltrate and escape the island, your weapons loadouts, air support, and even the operation’s time of day. As a result, no two approaches are alike on subsequent playthroughs. And repeat visits will allow you to heist valuable artifacts and other valuables as they become available. There is also a load of extra opportunities you can use to play to your advantage, such as breaking into storage lockups to raid hidden stashes of cash and contraband to bolster your bottom-line and fatten up your take. These chances and the tools necessary to complete them will rarely be found in the same place twice – some are only accessible when playing with multiple players, so joining up with friends is very much encouraged." This Megathread will serve as the place to discuss all things related to the DLC. We will be updating this as more information is released, so keep checking back. The Heist works very similarly to the Casino Heist. You have to hack cameras and scope out locations. Important Links: (Added once they become available)

Not being able to join friends / error message displaying prompt declaring a certain player hasn’t finished the GTA Online tutorial.
Not being able to deliver various pieces of heist equipment to the Kosatka during missions.
During the Plasma Cutters mission, taking a picture of the heist prep board in the safe house won’t register and you can’t send it too Pavel to progress the mission.
During the RO-86 Alkonost Plane delivery mission and the Velum delivery mission, the delivery checkpoint will be stationed at the casino, either the garage, front door, or music locker enterances will be highlighted.
During the Longfin boat delivery mission the delivery checkpoint will not register the Longfin once it has reached it destination.
When poisoning the water tower on Cayo Perico, players have reported either themselves or other players dying randomly.
When hacking into El Rubio’s compound, players have reported being stuck on a static as the game loads the cameras in the compound.
When quitting GTA Online after doing a Cayo Perico Heist mission prep, the game won’t save your last prep, requiring you to do it again.
The Cayo Perico primary target value will sometimes not display correctly and there as issue the incorrect amount of money for stealing the primary target on hard mode.
In the Cayo Perico heist finale, selecting the drainage point as your entrance into the compound won’t register correctly on your map, with the highlighted icon being the main entrance rather than the back.
All of the Pariah’s spoilers won’t display visually for any player.
When using the track pad to open the interaction menu on the PS5, the game soft locks you out of using your interaction menu again.
When escaping the compound, sometimes the boats at both the main dock and north dock won’t spawn.
Killing the juggernuat may cause the alarms to go off in the compound, even if done stealthy.
Both the Tom Conners missions and the English Dave missions sometimes bug up and don't allow you to deliver an objective to the yellow circle.
When entering the compound, plyers are reporting disconnects, either the host of the heist leaves the game or another team member will leave randomly.
When leaving the compound, the game will not give you a way to escape, leaving you softlocked in the compound.
In the heist finale screen, platers report not being able to buy a heist support crew.
When completing the Cayo Peico heist, players report that they discount from the game as soon as the heist is finished, leaving them without their payment.
Some players report that the payouts are incorrect when being divided out to players, as an example, a 30/70 payout will change to a 15/85 payout when the heist ends.

When trying to obtain the safe codes from the head of security the casino penthouse, players report the main target not spawning, effectivly softlocking the player in the penthouse.
"Invisible guards" patrol the compound after you rob it, resulting in your player character getting caught.
Guards will sometimes not show up on the radar when on the Cayo Perico heist finale.
Players report different weapon loadouts, entry points, and exit points on the final heist rather than what they choose on the finale screen.
Players report that when entering the drainage pipe and surfacing into the compound, the game breaks stealth and puts you into combat.
The Madrazo files will sometimes get replaced with an entirely different target all together on a first run of the Cayo Perico heist.
Delivering anything to the Music Locker will sometimes not work.
Bugs related to the Casino Heist DLC and GTA Online Broadly:
Cannot deliver heist prep equipment: The vehicle will enter the yellow circle and nothing will happen.
Cannot deliver product from businesses: The drop/delivery won't register, or you enter the delivery circle and it won't register.
Cannot deliver Business Battle goods: Will not register when entering the yellow circle.

Not receiving Elite bonuses after completing the Casino Heist.
Starting a Casino Heist and having no objective point on the map, causing players to have to leave the lobby.
Having to setup the Arcade again after previously doing the setup mission.
Vehicles/aircraft not spawning after being requested either from the mechanic, Ms. Baker, or through the interaction menu.
Nightclub technicians will stop producing certain products.
Certain vehicles losing their resistance to rockets/explosives. MOC, Avenger, etc...
Infinite loading screens
White screening during the Casino Heist end screens.
Heist cuts not being properly distributed after completing Heists.
Casino Heist being stuck once you leave the arcade: Can't move, etc...
Rewards in Arena Wars, or other jobs, not being properly calculated for the person in first place.
Trade prices not unlocking after completing the Casino Heist.
When searching for a casino heist through quick job in your cellphone, there's a chance it bugs out and upon joining the room, you're unable to see the finale board where you'd normally see the percentages and ready status.
On silent and sneaky, there's a chance the guards that are supposed to be moving around and patrolling stand completely still. This is both helpful and annoying in different parts of the heist and if you haven't got duggan shipments completed, you're pretty much fucked or forced to get creative.
On Big Con, sometimes the exit disguises don't spawn even though the run was done completely undetected (I've experienced this with gruppe sechs entry).
When collecting daily vault, sometimes it might happen that you get stuck in the animation without being able to stop.
The stockade sometimes spawns in the wrong arcade.
Getting stuck in an endless dancing loop during the Casino Heist setup for the level 2 keycards.

In Sumo(Remix) the wrong team will be awarded the win.
Mechanic will sometimes not spawn and the player will not be able to modify their vehicles.
MC business raids not sending message to players.
Dying during the explosives prep mission for the Casino heist can lead to a long, or infinite respawn.
During the Prison Break Heist Rashkovsky will not move, be invisible, or die after parachuting from the plane at the end of the Heist.
Rockstar and Take2: Here's some reasons you missed out on immense amounts of money by not architecting dedicated servers into your multiplayer setup
To bring everyone up to speed on network topology in games: GTA Online uses what's called a peer-to-peer mesh network setup. This means that every PC/console on a connected session is talking to every other PC/console in that session. The preferred alternative for most multiplayer games is sever-client, where in every PC/console is talking with a single server. With p2p mesh, this means that everyone shares authority. What this translates to is that a server is not the single authority checking for malicious activity, much of which anyone who has played GTA Online for is familiar with. This also means that anyone with the know-how can figure out what IP every other person is connecting from. This can lead to other malicious activity outside of the game. But standing up dedicated servers costs money. Why not avoid that? There are plenty of cases to be made where peer-to-peer connectivity makes sense, especially from a cost-savings perspective. But in some cases, like GTA Online, the benefits/gains from using a server-client setup far outweigh the costs. So, in no particular order:
What Dedicated Servers Would Have Brought to RS/T2:
More purchases of cash in the Social store. We'll start with the obvious here. When someone can get into a game and ask about [redacted method of obtaining money] and get a response 50% of the time, it's an obvious miss on being able to purchase prepaid in-game credit cards from the store. There's no incentive. And if they don't want to ask someone to do it, they can do it themselves. Higher volume of Twitch streamers. It seems easily correlated, but Twitch's research shows that livestreaming leads to better game sales. The reason this isn't streamed as broadly is because not everyone can get enough reliable people for a heist. Private sessions can be invaded by the same people who also [redacted method of obtaining money]. This is regardless of the privacy of a lobby, because those same people can find a unique identifier on the public Rockstar social site and join it, regardless of whether or not they're a friend or a crew member-- or simply not invited. What this translates to are people who have such a low bar to pass to join a streamer's game and hold the experience hostage, crash the session or do any other number of malicious things. They can also impersonate people and send messages as them. So this further leads to things like not being able to do: Twitch Rivals streams between competing streamer teams. Imagine this: the game is pretty solidly protected from people who [redacted method of obtaining money] and those incidents they generate are rare, and when they do pop up, they're punished. So, streaming this game is far more viable. Competitive crews start forming, and Rockstar promotes an event with streamers where they're able to host lobbies and get 24, 36 or even 48 streamers in one session running 12 different crews for things like:
Business goods battles
Arena wars
Deathmatches
Races
And so on and so forth. But because items have to be obtained through legitimate game mechanics, it also implements a grind. Maybe these groups/crews have been running for a while. But then you'd also be able to do: Streamer Drops through Connected Accounts We've seen other games do this, where viewers can get "drops" into their game by watching the streamer play it. These drops could have been literally anything that was on the Diamond Casino Wheel of Fortune. It could have even been a bonus spin at the wheel, to encourage getting the player in the game. The Long-Term, Sharded MMO Experience This translates to cash because people would be continually playing the game, which means more people paying for in-game cash and general popularity because more people would be streaming it, but this is the bigger buyback to the player, too. Imagine a crew that worked hard at completing a certain set of heists on hard difficulty, no deaths, consecutive. Four people who are streaming their attempt like people do for raid bosses. And their reward was a unique yacht only available for them. A ranked arena war system that awarded players who got 100 wins with a unique vehicle or livery. The system could have been adjusted to make some things a grind. Making that money with friends, and then knowing that if someone had a high-end apartment, much less a casino penthouse, that they earned it through blood, sweat and hard work. Powerful crews that were running around and happen to land on the same lobby and an all-out war with tactics, reinforcements and a consideration of cash drain to get the win in Los Santos. These are the things that Rockstar and Take2 missed out on by not having dedicated servers with protections against [redacted method of obtaining money]. They were on the verge of greatness. They were this close. And I know that a lot of this translates over for Red Dead Online, too.
Is It Too Late to Do All of This?
No, I don't think so. If RockstaTake2 were to seek redemption from this, here's what they'd have to do: Implement a dedicated server gamemode, and only allow characters created for this game mode specifically. If people want to continue messing around in peer-to-peer sessions, maybe they allow that for a time before slowly forcing people over (because it's all about that money, right?). But create a new character (or duplicate the looks of one), and make it only available for play on controlled, dedicated servers. You can even put Ye Olde GTA 5 spin on it and have Lester come in and say, "Yeah, I know the simulation was pretty fucked, right? It got hacked by kids on Christmas break. But anyway, now that you know what's possible out there in this stupid, god-forsaken world, well... uh, perhaps it's time we started making some money. And you remember Fleeca, right?" Then people start off fresh, and work on earning things through the grind. I promise you, that'll net you some untold money and viewership. And I have faith enough that even if you made a very solid push into authoritative client-host conversion from peer-to-peer mesh, allowing the authoritative client-host to be controlled by Rockstar servers, you'd get something out of it. And I will put a disclaimer on here: I don't know if the game engine is so archaic that it wouldn't allow for this kind of change. And if that is indeed the case, then the only thing that I can say is you missed out on all of the above by choosing to design what you did, because it is a proprietary engine. But if you can, imaginary Rockstar or Take2 directory reading this, please, I implore you. Push for the change. This has been one of the best social games for me during lockdown, and I can't overstate how much everyone will benefit from this. Sincerely, ~The Village Idiot
Hi. I'm looking for 3 players or more to create a crew with focus on heists. If possible whit headset to talk during the heists. I don't care if you're low level. The only thing that matters is that you listen if you never did some heist! I'm level 61 in ps4 but I'm level 495 in PC. But my pc is broken so I started from scratch on ps4 and in 2 months I have everything to do heists! I can show my PC profile so anyone can see that I have all heists trophies included mastermind. On PC I was member of one of the best crews on heists in gta online! Whit members who still are the world champion in record times on heists and I did all the elite challenge in every heists. The only heists that I didn't do the elite challenge is the casino heist and the cayo perico heist. The cayo perico I'm going to do the elite alone at the moment. The casino heist I never did the heist because I can't find anyone who can do the heist! The 3 times I joined to randoms to do the heist " THERE'S ALWAYS SOME LOSER WHO DIES OR GIVE UP..." that's why I want someone who can listen and like to do heists and don't give up! I don't care if you never did any heist! I help you, I don't care if you die 30 Times in a heist! Just don't give up and learn! Anyway I'm not a super player I do mistakes like anyone but I'm sure that I'm a good heist player. And believe me if faster to earn a lot of money on heists instead of grinding ex: cocaine, meth, gunrunning...etc. If you like heists join me.
Rockstar and Take2: Here's some reasons you missed out on immense amounts of money by not architecting dedicated servers into your GTA/RDR2 multiplayer setup
This is mostly written in the GTA Online perspective, though it has crossover into RDR Online as well. To bring everyone up to speed on network topology in games: GTA Online uses what's called a peer-to-peer mesh network setup. This means that every PC/console on a connected session is talking to every other PC/console in that session. What Dedicated Servers Would Have Brought to RS/T2:
More purchases of cash in the Social store. We'll start with the obvious here. When someone can get into a game and ask about [redacted method of obtaining money/goods/vehicles/XP] and get a response 50% of the time, it's an obvious miss on being able to purchase prepaid in-game credit cards from the store. There's no incentive. And if they don't want to ask someone to do it, they can do it themselves. Nevermind that the same group of people who can [redacted method of obtaining money/goods/vehicles/XP] will also just grief sessions. Better yet: Better Control on Hackers/Modders Anyone who is on the outside of RDR2 or GTA multiplayer has probably only heard telltale of what modders do in these games. Here's a list of what I've personally experienced:
Crash game sessions for individuals or the whole lobby
Send text messages as players in a session
Cycle the daytime so frequently that it can cause seizures
Blow up and kill all players instantly in a session
This is done by finding a unique identifier in Rockstar online. I don't know the details; that's how a modder described it to me.
This is especially impactful to anyone who streams, as they only need to see their in-game name and do the aforementioned to join their session and hold it hostage/ruin it. Getting rid of this yields more, is written about later.
Grab other players and teleport them around the map
Attach objects to players so they can't get anywhere
Cage players
Generate endless in-game currency (which is something Rockstar offers as purchasable in their store).
The list goes on. The biggest reason for using dedicated servers, honestly, is to get rid of the griefers. It's enough so that I've seen people ask if someone is running a specific type of mod, and they know the commands to use to get gifted vehicles, cash, etc. It's prolific and horrible. But cleaning those things up and preventing them means: Higher volume of Twitch streamers. It seems easily correlated, but Twitch's research shows that livestreaming leads to better game sales. The reason this isn't streamed as broadly is because not everyone can get enough reliable people for a heist. Looking for People Interested in helping me with old heists
Hello. I’m on Xbox and while I am lvl 200 and I have the Casino and Cayo Perico heists, I have never done the apartment heists nor the Doomsday Heist. I don’t have set dates for when exactly I’d be able to play, but I wanted to see if there were any veterans who wouldn’t mind taking me under their wing and showing me how these heists are done. I’m a pretty chill person and any guides or videos you want me to read or watch beforehand I can totally do. You can reply here or DM me, I’m also a member of the GTA online subreddit crew and am on Discord (but not the discord for this sub yet). Thank you for your time!
GTA Online just got a boost in new players due to the free giveaway at Epic Games, myself included. After playing and doing some research online I decided to write this brief no-nonsense "tl;dr" list of tips, sadly not included in the game itself, for my friends. As it got larger and more thorough I decided to post it publicly - hope it helps! (June 2020; PC version 1.50, mostly applies to console too)
The order of tips is simple to technical, meaning arguably the most important stuff is near the end.

[ 1. Gameplay ]
Go to the Casino every 24 hours to spin the Lucky Wheel. Free and easy rewards.
Complete your Daily Objectives for extra cash (found in the Interaction Menu, "M" key by default).
Max Health increases significantly with every rank you gain until 100. Don't expect to beat a veteran player of similar skill or have an easy time in end-game combat missions early on.
Strength increases through fistfights (NOT melee weapon fights or kicking vehicles, contrary to claims in other guides) and sports minigames. It's an important stat because of damage resistance. Best trained either by beating up pedestrians frequently or powerleveled using the "Blow Up III" mission (which is easy and prevents you getting a Wanted level) while beating up Paramedics (who take more hits than pedestrians) in front of any hospital (where they respawn in large groups). Takes 1.5-2 hours to go from 10 to 100 this way.
The other stats will level up naturally as you play.
If you run missions, always follow the temporary bonus rates. For example, Martin Madrazzo's missions gave 2x RP (XP) and cash rewards when I started so I ran those on repeat, with the added advantage of knowing them inside out. This is great for leveling, especially on Hard difficulty, though there are better cash options described below.
If you have the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack (CE from here on) included in the Epic Games giveaway, "buy" the free stuff ASAP. You'll find it in the Escape > Online menu.
The Bounty Hunter and Treasure Hunt activities (received through in-game e-mails) both give you a weapon: An axe with rage ability and a revolver respectively, plus $250k each after completing a quick challenge.
A similar but unmarked activity is the LS Slasher for another 250k and revolver, though you'll want a guide to hunt it down (thanks to shoryuXE10).
Playing with crew members increases mission rewards by 10%. Playing while in a business (CEO/Associates for example) gives minor RP rewards if you're nearby.
It's possible to create a "solo public" session, as explained here. This can also occur randomly, which may either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you're doing (thanks to gargamel999).
[ 2. Equipment]
Your weapon wheel will become a mess and the game will keep equipping the wrong weapon constantly. To solve this you can purchase a Weapons Locker for various player-owned Businesses, storing what you don't use (175k for Bunker is cheapest as far as I'm aware). Merely dropping crappy weapons only works temporarily.
Get a bulletproof helmet ASAP at a clothing store, ideally a "Combat Helmet with Four Goggles" as this includes Thermal Vision (costs 80-100k). Both versions will increase the amount of headshots you can survive from 0 to 2, or 0 to 1 if the enemy uses a Heavy Sniper.
"Cosmetic body armor" bought in clothing stores doesn't add any protection except during specific Heists. Only "Body Armor" bought at Ammu-Nation or during the Job start/end screens does.
Get a suppressor ASAP for stealth Missions/Heists/Deathmatches, ideally on a Sniper and an (accurate) Assault Rifle. Missed shots and corpses can still alert the enemy.
Unless your aim is amazing, get an Assault Shotgun ASAP. Also very good for blindfiring around cover if low on health.
Get a Homing Launcher ASAP to take down moving vehicles, especially aircraft. You'll need to lead the target to ensure a hit, meaning "aim where the vehicle is going to be", or in some cases directly behind the vehicle so that the missile "slings" around to hit the rear.
The Mini SMG is an excellent drive-by weapon due to its high fire rate, allowing you to headshot enemies in vehicles or pop tires more reliably. A similar option is the AP pistol with slightly lower fire rate but significantly higher damage.
A very popular and cheap vehicle is the Armored Kuruma. While it can't withstand explosives like the more expensive armored vehicles can, it'll protect you extremely well from bullets without sacrificing much speed. An ideal mission and heisting vehicle (bought from southernsanandreassuperautos).
[ 3. Business ] Once you have competent equipment, consider investing your cash into a (single) Business to earn more cash later. Note that most of my info on this comes from other guides:
Ideally buy locations close together, centrally on the map and well-connected via roads/highways.
Most importantly, choose something you'll enjoy! If you don't like driving, don't get Import/Export.
The Office with Vehicle Warehouse creates the most profitable solo activity in the game, namely Import/Export (only sell "Top End" cars!). La Mesa, the cheapest warehouse, is often recommended. Cargo Warehouse is also a good option but requires friends to run efficiently.
The Bunker is one you'll want eventually due to research (new ammo types, special vehicles etc), though early on it's more interesting as a source of semi-passive income which you can run solo (if you only sell a partial batch of product, also removing the need for the Security upgrade) or with friends (full batch).
The Motorcycle Club with Cocaine, Meth and Counterfeit businesses for semi-passive income if you have a few friends to help you sell the goods every few hours. Cocaine can potentially be done solo with partial batches as well. Interestingly the Clubhouse that comes free with CE is the best one according to most guides.
Facilities, Nightclubs and Arcades are better later on so I'll leave those for now.
Arena Wars is a very interesting vehicular onslaught-type game mode, and its garage happens to be the best in the game for customization. You'll need to buy this to start upgrading vehicles to use in the Arena, but you can also try the mode without.
[ 4. Settings ] First the important stuff:
"Vehicle Camera Height" should be set to "High" so you can see what's in front of you past the first car or hill.
Tweak graphics for a smooth framerate. Stutter during a shootout can get you and your teammates killed.
Since Online mode blasts you with constant phone alerts, turn those off.
If you use first person mode in combat it's probably best to still have cover in third person so you can see past whatever you're hiding behind; "First Person Third Person Cover" to "On".
If you play Online exclusively you could disable the Landing Page and have GTA boot straight into Online, allowing the game to load while you do something else. However, first booting into Story mode and then switching to Online is reported to be faster (thanks to gargamel999).
The default keybinds are poor. Here are my recommended changes:
This game doesn't allow you to leave functions unbound, so firstly rebind those you never use to keys out of your hand's reach. On my keyboard these are -, =, [, ], ;, ', \, ,, ., /, O, P, K, L etc. Possible functions include character select to free up the Alt key; recording for F1-F3; next/previous radio station for scroll down in vehicles if you use Q instead, or play without in-game music etc.
Make "Interaction menu" easily accessible - I use F1.
Make "Toggle Helmet Visor" easily accessible if you like thermal goggles - I use Left Alt.
Make your favorite weapon categories easily accessible - I use 1 for Shotgun, 2 for Assault Rifle, 3 for Sniper Rifle, 4 Heavy Weapon, 5 Special Weapon.
You'll likely want to tweak the Aircraft controls in-depth. How you prefer them is entirely up to you. In flight, Leftclick to enable or disable mouse controls (set the default control type in the settings menu). I personally use Shift for acceleration, Control for deceleration, W/A for pitch up/down, A/D for yaw, Q/E for roll and the mouse for pitch/yaw in case I need it (optimized for helis). Better yet, use a controller as that's what the game was optimized for.
Optionally lower auto-center on Aircraft to avoid twitchy behavior.
Also tweak the mouse settings. You've got Sensitivity, Acceleration and "Fine Aim" to toy with.
The "Online" > "Options" menu:
Set "Remain Host after Next Job Vote Screen" to "On" if you know what type of job you want (including difficulty and team size).
Set "Matchmaking" to "Closed" if you play with friends often, else the game will auto-invite from your session. Alternatively play in an invite-only session.
[ 5. Troubleshooting ] This section is only useful if the game is malfunctioning somehow (which sadly is very common):
If the load times are ridiculously long despite having a good PC, the network ports used by the game are likely getting firewalled by your router. You'll need to set up port forwarding on the router to fix this (1990's called, they want their dev team back). Google/DuckDuckGo "port forwarding" to find many excellent guides, combined with this official Rockstar page for the port numbers.
If that's not enough or someone else on your network wants to play the game along with you, you may have to set up a "DMZ" or "De-Militarized Zone". IMPORTANT: This is HIGHLY unsafe. Any douche script kiddie will be able to infiltrate your network, so only do this if you know what you're exposing yourself to or have nothing to protect (like bank information/passwords). Again, Google/DuckDuckGo this if interested.
If the game crashes frequently including during single player, try lowering the graphics options - particularly the VRAM usage shown in the graphics menu. The game amateurishly self-terminates when certain limits are exceeded.
If that doesn't help, UPDATE YOUR GRAPHICS DRIVER. Often this is lazy general advice which rarely helps, but GTA5 has actually had major driver-specific issues (notably the d3d.somethingsomething error).
Lastly, and I had nowhere else to put this: You can currently get a free million and Pete's Arcade using an Amazon/Twitch Prime temporary offer. NOTE that it's set up so that although you can get the whole thing for free, it comes with automatic renewal for the subscription at 3 bucks a month. You can get rid of this either on the Twitch page or by contacting Amazon (chat) support. Edit: Fill the arcade with the free games to get $3600 per "day" (48 mins). Optionally add the 90k game in the empty slots to raise this to the $5000 max (1400 more). You'll recoup the investment in: 90/1.4=64 "days" or 51.42 real-time hours.
P.S. If any veteran players have more tips to share in the comments I'd appreciate it.
Diamond Casino Heist Guide + TIPS - Written by /u/DatCamaroGuy
Diamond Casino Guide: So you decided that you wanna rob a casino, great! The Diamond Casino Heist is one of the best ways to earn money, but you're wondering, how do I get started? Well, you're in luck! This guide is going to teach you the ways to get the best out of the Diamond Casino Heist! Step 1: Arcade Alright to get started, you’re going to have to own an arcade. Now, it may seem better to go for the arcades on the top of the map to save yourself some cash, however, this will make all the preps much harder, as most of them take place in LS or Sandy Shores. The best arcade locations are 8-bit ($2,530,000, located in Vinewood) and Videogeddon ($1,875,000, La Mesa). When buying your arcade, none of the upgrades are necessary, as most of them are cosmetic. You’ll have to complete a quick arcade setup mission to access the basement where the diamond casino heist planning board is located. Step 1.5: Arcade Income While this isn’t related to the diamond casino heist, I thought I would put this in there. The arcade generates income based on how many games you have, going up to 5k per in-game day (48 min). The game doesn't matter, so you can just buy the cheapest one (Monkey’s Paradise, $90,000) and fill up your arcade with it. Step 2: Scope out casino After you’ve finished watching Lester scribble a big mess over the whiteboard, you’ll be able to start the casino heist. Normally, you’ll have to pay a setup cost of 25k, but since it’s your first time doing it, it’ll be free. After you’ve confirmed that you want to start the casino heist, you’ll need to finish the scope out mission. For the scope out mission, you’ll need to take a variety of pictures for Lester in order to unlock entrances for the heist. A full guide is linked here but I’ll sum up the most important ones.
Staff Lobby: This entrance is arguably the best entrance for the Silent and Sneaky approach. It gives you easy access to the control room where you can get the daily vault easily. It is also the best exit for most approaches as not many guards patrol it. The staff lobby should be around the back of the casino and should look like a white door behind some yellow bollards.
Security Tunnel: By scoping out this entrance, it gives you the ability to enter the casino as a Gruppe Sechs team for the Big Con. This entrance is the best if not one of the best approaches to the casino heist. The disguise will allow you to go straight to the vault undetected and back up, however, you will be detected when going back out of the casino on the casino access floor, so I would suggest getting some exit disguises to make your escape easier. The security tunnel should look like a big metal garage door with a security camera watching over it under the racetrack.
Sewers: The sewers allow you to burrow down right into the vault access floor giving you easy access as you are right next to the vault mantrap. The sewer exit, however, is only available in the aggressive approach.
Roof Terrace: At first glance, the roof terrace may seem like a horrible entrance/exit, however as it turns out, the roof terrace is actually a contender for one of the best aggressive exits. By taking the roof terrace, you can shoot down the guards at the racetrack while they're not being able to shoot back and then parachute down.
You’ll only need to do this mission once, and it will be completed for all future casino heists. Step 3: Vault Contents The vault contents mission is pretty easy. You’ll be given the rough location of a Duggan security guard, once you find him, you can either hack him, which can take some time but you won’t get the cops on you if you do it right, or you can kill him and grab the phone, which will save you some time but you’ll need to lose the cops before you can enter the casino. After you’ve entered the casino, you’ll need to bring out the sightseer app on your phone to find a wifi signal. After you’ve located the wifi signal, you’ll need to figure out the vault contents. Beware that you only have a limited time to do this (2 min). Since it’s probably your first time, I would recommend that you go through every camera to scope out each POI. The target will be cash since it’s your first time, which has a payout of 2.1 mil on normal. The first time will always be cash (payout of $2,115,000 on normal), but if it’s not your first time, the targets can be either cash, artwork (payout of $2,350,000 on normal) or gold (payout of $2,585,000 on normal). There is a 4th target, which is diamonds (payout of $3,257,100 on normal) however this vault content is only available for special occasions and has been removed from the vault contents. If you do the heist on hard by doing the same approach after you’ve done another one, the payout will be 10% larger. If you’ve completed all 3 approaches to the heist, you can cancel the heist which can be helpful if you’ve got a bad target. Link to this is here. Step 4: Selecting your approach Once you’ve finished the vault contents mission, you’ll be able to select your approach. There are 3 approaches to the diamond casino heist. Silent and Sneaky, The Big Con and Aggressive. For beginners, I would recommend alternating between Big Con and Aggressive, because those are the easiest ones. For Big Con, choose the Gruppe Sechs disguise for the easiest entry. Aggressive is good for newer players however it does end up in a lot of money loss. After you’ve got the gist of it, alternate to doing Silent and Sneaky in place of aggressive for a bigger payout. Step 5: Selecting your support crew After you’ve selected your approach, you’ll need to select your support crew before you can do any of the prep missions. Selecting your support crew is very simple. You’ll need a gunman to source guns, a driver to source cars, and a hacker to delay the nerve agent inside the vault. Selecting your support crew depends on the approach and target in the vault. For Big Con, SnS, any target EXCEPT for art, you’ll want the worst gunman (Karl Abolaji, take his Micro SMG on big con, heavy revolver on aggressive and on SnS the choice is up to you), the worst driver (Karim Denz, take his sentinel classic) and the best hacker available to you, for most people, this will be Paige Harris (unlocked when the Terrorbyte is purchased, gives 3:25 in the vault when undetected and 2:23 detected). For aggressive, you’ll still want to have the worst driver and best hacker, however, the gunman is up to you since you’ll be using guns a lot. I normally go with Charlie Reed (unlocked when purchasing a hangar), he takes a 7% cut (2% more than Karl) and gives you an assault SMG, however, you can get by with Karl, as every gunman gives you an SMG to go along with another weapon, which is still a perfectly fine weapon. For Big Con, SnS and the target is Art, if you and your heist partner can both hack very well, you can get by with Yohan Blair (takes a 5% cut and gives you 2:51 in the vault if you are undetected and 2:01 if you are). Step 5.5: Secret heist crew members There are 2 hidden heist crew members that can’t be unlocked by purchasing a business like most heist crew members. There 2 are Patrick McReary and Avi Schwartzman. Patrick McReary is a gunman who takes an 8% cut and gives the choice a Combat MG or an Assault Shotgun in aggressive. Avi Schwartzman is a hacker that takes a 10% cut and gives 3:30 undetected in the vault and gives 2:22 if you are detected. To unlock Patrick, he spawns as a random event around the map. He spawns in a police car that you will need to hijack. A guide is linked here. To unlock Avi, you’ll need to destroy 50 signal jammers that are located around the map. A guide is linked here. Step 6: Prep Missions Now that you’ve selected your support crew, you’ll be presented with a plethora of prep missions. Some mandatory and some optional. To complete these missions, I suggest that you use a Kuruma, Buzzard, or Oppressor Mk2 to make your life easier. In some prep missions, you will not be able to call Lester, so be prepared. All of the missions can be done solo but it makes it easier if you have a friend with you to help you out. Now onto the optional prep missions. Optional prep missions, are, as the name suggests, optional. The optional prep you should do depends on the approach. If you own a penthouse and have completed all of the missions, you will gain access to the security intel mission. It’s very easy to complete and you will only need to do it once. A nice trick is that the gauntlet actually spawns when you start the mission, not when the cutscene is triggered, so you can just shoot the driver and take the gauntlet. A guide will be linked below. Let’s start with Silent and Sneaky. For Silent and Sneaky, the optional prep missions depend on your skill level. If you’re an experienced player, you don’t need to do much, only level 2 security passes. Power drills you can do if you think you have enough time. However, if you are a very new player, I’d recommend that you do patrol routes, Duggan shipments (you only need to destroy 3 to get rid of their bulletproof helmets), level 2 security passes, emp device and infiltration suits and power drills if you think you have enough time. If you do all these, the heist should be a breeze. Going onto the Big Con, if you’re doing Gruppe Sechs, you don't need to do much. You only need to go through one door if you exit out the staff door, so you can decide if you want to do level 2 security passes or not. Patrol routes do make things easier, however are not necessary. Again, only do power drills if you think you have enough time. Make sure you do exit disguises. Noose and firefighter are exactly the same, so do firefighters since it has an easier mission. For aggressive, again, patrol routes make it easier but are never necessary. Make sure to do Duggan shipments. You can solo it, but it will be much easier with another person. If you don’t get them all you can just close the game and you’ll be able to do the mission again. Reinforced armor allows you to take more damage, so I would recommend it even if it makes you slower. Be sure to also do boring machine as it allows you to enter through the sewers. Make sure to also do level 2 security passes unless you really like hacking doors. Step 7: Finding people to play with Now that you’ve completed all your required prep missions, you need some people to play with. If you don’t have any friends to play with, I recommend checking out HeistTeams or the GTAO Discord LFG Channels to find people to play with. Make sure to have good communication between your teammates otherwise the heist will be in chaos. Step 8: Completing the heist Now that you’ve got a solid heist crew waiting to grab all of that sweet loot out of the casino’s vault, you’ll be able to start the heist. If you're doing aggressive, the plan is pretty simple, shoot your way in, grab the loot, then shoot your way out. The easiest entry for aggressive is sewers, and the easiest exit is the eastern roof terrace. If you exit through the staff lobby, you’ll get shot a ton when going over the racetrack, however, if you exit through the roof terrace, you can shoot the guys behind the stones on the racetrack then safely parachute down. For The Big Con, I’m going to assume you’re doing the Gruppe Sechs approach. By doing the Gruppe Sechs approach, you can pretty much waltz into the vault and back out of it, just be careful that this has some limitations. When going back up the stairwell/elevator to the casino access floor, the guards will have checked the vault and know it’s been robbed, so you disguise ain't gonna work anymore. I strongly suggest getting exit disguises, as they will greatly help your escape. The easiest exit for this is the staff lobby. For SnS, I’m not really going to go into too much detail here because there’s a full video linked below. What I will talk about is when to use the emp (If you did the prep mission). I recommend emp’ing when you’re at the vault access floor, allowing you to waltz into the mantrap, or when you're coming back up to the casino access floor and are in the mantrap. Be warned that if you decide to get the daily vault when you trigger the emp, the emp’s timer will run out before you can get to your exit, so plan ahead. The easiest entrance for this is the staff lobby and the easiest exit is also the staff lobby. Tips and tricks to complete the heist
If you are disguised, do not bump into any of the guards. They will detect you and start shooting.
In the control room, there is a button that you can press to open the door to the daily vault. One person has to hold the button while the other goes in and grabs the cash. This can be done with any approach.
Running and jumping is faster than just running normally, use this to your advantage while inside the vault.
Running in first person is actually faster than 3rd, so use this to your advantage when trying to knock out guards.
Don’t bother trying to escape the cops by hiding in an alley or something, either take your car into the sewers down by the LS river or take the heli that usually spawns on top of the police station. The sewers will result in you losing less money, however will be much slower. I will link both of these methods below in the useful media section.
Normally when exiting the casino from the staff lobby without any disguise, you’ll need to knock out a guard to the left of the swat fan to your right, before hugging the race track wall and then dropping down. I have found that sometimes if you run, the guard will hear you and detect you, causing you to get shot at. To prevent this, walk up to him making sure you stay out of his FOV then knock him out.
You walk much faster in the casino if you are in first person, making the vault contents mission much easier.
In prep missions, you can change any accessory (glasses, hat, ect.) to lose 1 star which is useful on missions where you can’t call Lester to remove your wanted level.
On some missions, you can lose the cops by entering your Terrorbyte/MOC/Avenger.
On some missions, you can lose the cops if you accept Lester’s apartment heist invite. This only works if you have a heist active.
In the hacking device mission where you have to infiltrate the FIB building, you walk a lot faster if you aim down sights on any gun, however, if you go into any agent’s LOS you will get detected instantly, so be careful when using this trick.
You can upgrade your getaway vehicles in the arcade by getting in them and pressing the button shown on the prompt that appears on the top left.

[PS4] Looking for a casual grinding crew or members to join GREY [The Thin Grey Line]
As the title says I'm looking for a casual crew or members to join my casual crew (I'm currently the only member.) I'm not that active on GTA Online these days so I usually only play during double reward weeks (MC, Bunker, Nightclub, Air Freight or Diamond casino heist) since I have everything I need (not want). I tried joining a few crews but I can only seem to find crews that require people to play GTAO constantly. Been trying to get through my gaming backlog so I won't be playing the required amount. This is why I'm looking for crews with members in a similar situation or similar casual players to join GREY. TLDR : I'm looking for a casual crew or members to join mine because I don't want GTAO to be a second job.
[ PS4 ] Looking for a team of 3 players to help me go through every heist!
Hello! Yes, you read the title right. I am seeking to do every heist, in order, on hard mode. I recently made a 2nd character but found they had none of the bonuses from completed missions/races/heists, etc. I was hoping to at least gather a group together to do it with me. I’m in the EST time zone, and I am available for the next two weeks to get it done almost any time of any day. 3 others needed of course. We will TRY for Criminal Mastermind, but if we fail it’s not a big loss. I just would prefer getting the discounts and the cash. I’ve been playing the game since the very first day of GTA online, and I’ve got a lot of experience under my belt, but like everyone I’m prone to mistakes. Payout would be split as evenly as possible, 20% for all crew members. I am having to pay for each and every heist, so I will need a wee bit more funding to keep things fair. All I ask from people is that you are accepting, know what you’re doing, and you don’t mind someone who’s under the age of 18 (I’m 17, but some people throw a fit.) Thank you for reading all of this! Comment below or PM please if you are interested! EDIT: If two people wish to quit after we do the first series of heists before the Doomsday heists, that’s totally fine, and if all three want to quit I can attempt to find a different person to help me with the doomsday and casino heists.
I'm a long-time member but I've been on hiatus since Red Dead Online came out. I'm looking to get back into GTA Online but I'm way out of the loop; are CEWL lobbies still a thing? If so who's active in the crew? I'm looking for people to help with the Diamond Casino Heist Setups, and I'm also looking to re-establish my MC businesses so help with sales would be massively appreciated and of course the favour will be returned. If you want to play add my PSN tag: sergeantprophet

GTAO Invite Only lobby guide with a Section for StriclySolo players. Updated.
WIP. WorkInProgress. This is to highlight all the things that can be done in the game without being a public session. Public session stuff is well covered in other guides.
GTAO Invite Only lobby guide with a Section for StriclySolo players.
What is a solo player and why would anyone do that in a MMO?
GTAO is not strictly a MMO. Some people just do not derive joy from playing games with others. But would like to play in a immerseive online game where the content evolves and can have a shared experience. So some people chose to play solo. There are roughly 3 types of solo play.
StrictlySolo - This player will never want to play with another person ever. Pretty rare. But this guide will cover them.
MostlySolo - This player will occasionally play with others in Missions, heists, and public freeroam. MostlySolo might have the holy grail of solo setups. A 2nd Machine with which to play. This opens up a whole new world of solo play. The 2nd machine will be mostly idle or can just be a buddy in the other room who occasionally hits triangle (or equiv) to get in and out of vehicles. The 2nd playemachine can be classified as ActiveParticipant (a live other person who can participate) or DeadWeight ( a 2nd machine/console or a person who is idling.)
GroupSolo - Will prefer to only play solo but will occasionally play with a close group of friends or crew. Example would be someone who grinds crates alone then gets with others to do sales.
Jobs available to a StrictlySolo player in a Invite only session.
Contact Missions - There are 90+ that are available to one person working alone. For the full list see http://gta.wikia.com/wiki/Missions_in_GTA_Online These pay $80K-$150K/hr depending on when you turn them in.

By that I mean I'm recruiting. Yep just me. T2t0Molf (PSN) 2T0MOLF (R* Social Club) I've invited friends on my list but no luck. I'm looking for social members (preferably with mics) to help me with business sales, sourcing, heist and missions as well as just chat if you want to. I'll definitely help members too. Anyone of any age, gender, skill level or nationality is free to join as long as you speak English or have a friend to translate. I'm not a hardcore grind player, relatively new (joined GTA online in October 2019) just casual but hardcore players are welcome, maybe your determination/ambition will rub of on me/us. I've been ending up in solo public lobbies a lot and it would really help if I had crew to invite on to do our business stuff, whether separately or cooperatively. For missions, we can work to:
Do casino missions to get members the armored Paragon R as I've already got it
Do heists to get vehicle discounts
Do Lamar's Lowrider missions (for fun I guess, aren't really worth it besides getting more LD!)
I've listed the above missions because I've completed them so I have some experience, but I'm no pro. We could also do double/triple reward stuff when it comes around. I'm mostly active on weekends but I do login sometimes during the week.
Hi all, As promised here is my announcement of my next event. It’s going to be one long event made up of three smaller events. All events happen on the 24th! Heists! When: Saturday August 24 at 9:00 AM Pacific/Noon Eastern/5 PM UTC. We will launch at that time with or without you so please be sure to online and available to join the host session up-to 15 mins prior to the event’s start time!. Invitations into the host session will be sent up to the last three minutes until we launch. If you have not received an invitation by 10 minutes prior to the events start time, please reach out to the host via PSN PM, to make the host aware of your presence. Yes this includes even those those on my friends list! Event will be canceled by 9:10 AM Pacific time if we fail to have anyone attend. Where: We will meet at Garagedwella’s Penthouse at the casino, make sure I’ve got you added as a friend(be sure to mention you're from our crew in the invite) or that your active in any GTA Online session with our crew set as your active crew. I will be able to send you invites to bring you into my session. Doomsday heist setups are done in the open online world so you will need to be in the same session as me if we do any of them! What’s happening: We are going to do a heist (or two)! Exact heist TBD Event description/notes: This event is limited to a max of four, if interested please mention so in a comment below so I can know who’s coming! If I’m unable to fill all four slots with crew mates I may at my discretion open the party to allow random players to join us to fill any vacancies. Please be sure to have a working mic! Communication is key in these heists! Please be sure you have max ammo, vests and snacks prior to the event. Please make sure you have suitable transport (amour may be useful here if you can balance it with something that can do a decent speed) as heists regularly require players to traverse (or fly!) long distances across Los Santos and Blaine County! Event duration is open ended. Car and Plane Show!Where: Devon Weston Hanger , private session (session invites required) When: 1:00 PM Pacific/4:00 PM Eastern/9:00 Eastern, event will run 1 hour! What’s happening: come show off your coolest cars and planes! Event Details/Notes: Cars will be inside the hanger against the wall, planes will be in the center of the hanger, any overflow, large planes/vehicles will be staged directly outside the hanger in manner that will allow smaller planes and cars to safely enter and depart from inside the hanger. If your aircraft or vehicle is armed with weapons, please make sure weapons are set to machine gun so we don’t have any friendly fire rockets launched during aircraft and vehicle movements! Live ATC!When: 2:00 PM Pacific/5:00 PM Eastern/10:00 PM UTC. Canceled if no attendance by 2:10 PM Pacific time. Where: LSIA. What’s happening: Live air traffic control provided on a rotation basis by your crew mates! Event details/notes: The AiCar Show event will roll directly into this event, please try to attend both of your able to! You must have a working Mic to take part event, we are striving for realism so all Readback is required when interacting with someone playing the role of a controller! Listen to and communicate any issues with the current ATC controller, failure to do so will result in a Pilot Deviation Report which may affect your ability to participate in Live ATC future events! IMPORTANT: We will be using a non standard chart (not the ones in the sidebar of our sub.) Please be sure to familiarize yourself with these charts prior to the start of the event in addition to having access to them via a nearby laptop or smartphone for reference during the event! Event will run up-to 90 mins with controller changes every 30 mins. If we have enough people playing we will have separate party chats set up each hosted by a current controller preforming that specific task. We may up to 5 controller working as Fort Zancudo (all functions) LSIA Tower, approach/Departure/Clearance, (May make these separate) and Ground, and General ATC for the sector (for aircraft not in the immediate controlled airspace of airport. PLEASE NOTE: The following changes and restrictions; 1. Military aircraft may use all airports except Grapeseed. 2. Non Military aircraft are forbidden at Fort Zancudo, with the exception of true emergencies (Sandy Shores is close by so if you you should make landing there a priority over Zancudo unless extreme circumstances prevent you from safely reaching Sandy Shores, Grapeseed or LSIA. non military aircraft may not enter the Fort Zacudo No Fly Zone. This zone is defined as follows; the base side of the summit of the mountain range beyond the treatment plant adjacent to Fort Zacudo, East road following the edge of the slough from the main gate (on the base side of the slough) to the ocean. 10,000 feet from the approach end of the runway over the ocean. Aircraft may overfly the base at heights exceeding 5,000 feet provided they are not interfering with the approach or departure corridors of the bases runways. civilian aircraft/vehicles may enter Fort Zacudo to retrieve aircraft from thier Private Hanger with prior notice given to ATC/Base Command 3. Use of Grapeseed is restricted to small prop only aircraft and Helicopters. 4. Sandy Shores and Grapeseed are uncontrolled, call outs should be made as normal when approaching/departing/making ground movements. These call outs should be made on the General ATC party chat, as you will need to reach out to this controller to coordinate clearances to your destination. ATC will not aknowledge your call out unless you address them as you are at an uncontrolled airport, however should you contact/be contacted by ATC, you will required to readback instruction given to you such as a clearence. 5. ATIS Service is not provided, however you may ask your current controller for weather reports, and PIREP’s. 6. For the charts the airports listed as Jetsam, and Docks are not going to be used so disregard those pages. Also the Pier 1 RNAV will not be used so please also disregard that page! 7. The number of controllers and party chats will scale according to workload of the controllers. Fewer pilots in attendance will mean fewer ATC staff, who will cover multiple roles (All LSIA functions. Or another example is a single controller may handle the entire air traffic duties of the session if it’s just three or four people flying, and we only use game chat and no party chats.) 8. The phonetic military alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie, etc.) will be in use, learn it now and be prepared to use it! 9. All airspace and ground movement are controlled, with the exception of Sandy Shores and Grapeseed. You should always be in contact with an ATC controller regardless of flight level if you are moving outside of these two exempted airports! Failure to do so may result in the military interception. In the event of this happening you are required to follow the direction of a Los Santos Civil Air Patrol aircraft or any military Aircraft under the active orders of the Military or ATC. The use of lethal force is authorized, when required by a clear and immanent threat that is posed by a non complaint aircraft to other aircraft or civilians in the air or on the ground. These is especially important should you violate the no fly zone surrounding Fort Zacudo!. A briefing on these procedures will be given to all in attendance at the beginning of the event. Further instructions will be given those who will rotate though as ATC or Military officials. Do not take being intercepted or being shot down lightly, it means you seriously screwed up both as a pilot and as a crew mate of Aviators of GTA! You can bank on sanctions being placed on your ability to participate in future crew events, or in the crew period! Ground vehicles must use the marked and dedicated vehicle roadways at LSIA, don’t ever leave the aprons and enter the active runways or areas (grass) directly next to a runway without explicit permission from the tower controller at LSIA. Ground vehicles must yield to all aircraft in motion at all airfields! 10. All aircraft are welcome, except hoverbikes/cars. The host and ATC reserves the right to request you change aircraft, limit or forbid any aircraft of their choosing at any time to maintain realism. Failure to change aircraft when requested to do so in a reasonable time frame, will result in your removal from the session and repeated issues caused by a member at any event may affect their privileges to attend certain or any and all official (hosted by staff) crew events and furthermore may also jeopardize their membership in Aviators of GTA. 11. Call signs will be discussed at the beginning of the session to decide if we will use random N prefixed(serial numbers), Flight numbers, usernames or a mix of any of the three. 12. The host (Garagedwella) will act as the supervisor of all ATC, and may appoint additional people as supervisors if required just as you would in any FAA controlled tower or center outside of GTA, the Supervisor is there to be a resource to both the ATC staff and the Pilots when things go wrong or if you just feel unsure about something. If you require the Supervisor for any reason and they are out flying, please address them as "Supervisor [Username]" initially over the mic to get their attention. This will distinguish this communication as in internal consultation from an ATC staff member or pilot requiring assistance, over a routine ATC to Pilot (or the other way around) conversation. 13. Should something be destroyed in a manner where a vehicle or aircraft remains fouls a runway or taxiway with FOD (Foreign Object Debris). Notify ATC ASAP about the hazard and remove it ASAP before resuming flying activities! 14. This session will not be devoid of NPC (Non Player Controlled) Aircraft. This includes landing and taking off from airfields and taxiing. It is the player responsibility to be alert and call out any known hazards over frequency to alert controllers and pilots. NPC will not appear on Radar for controllers so if you are unable to comply with instructions given by ATC report so over frequency and advise ATC as to why. TLDR; Listen to what we (staff and ATC) say and nobody gets hurt. There is a refresher on Session Etiquette and ATC instructions under the "Read Before Flying W/ ATC" section of the sidebar. Hope to see you all at the events! Please comment below or reach out to me via private message if you have any questions regarding these three events! Regards, Garagedwella Playstation Squadron Leader
Just a few ideas I came up with, some are concepts from other games but most are mine.
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK DOWN BELOW! Properties:
I would like to suggest that property furniture is separately picked out by the player. For example, in the office a player may want the desk chair, assistant model, and walls from the old spice: warm style, the window shades, glass walls, hallway furniture, desk perimeter tables, and the boardroom cabinets from power broker: polished, and the glass cabinet (the wine sits on top of this), the couch and chairs, and desk from the executive style, the same idea would apply to penthouses and possibly other properties like the facility & hangar where furniture is present and multiple styles are available. I'm sure it would bring great pleasure and satisfaction to me and many others in the community to be able to tweak their properties to perfection. I understand that there is an unused shop by the name of larss & elbo that I come to believe is a high-end furniture store, it could be implemented into the game to "Buy" the furniture from. Additionally, there could be different brands of furniture and appliances, for example, the pc and laptops in properties could be a different brand or type of computer instead of the regular ifruit tech, also the stilt houses have 2 different interiors, allow the player to pick either interior for their stilt houses.
Add a home system in the interaction menu, so players could control the radio or tv without having to interact with them directly. Maybe even have control over the level of lighting, or if they have the right type of shades, allow them to be closed or opened to view the outside of LS.
In the office instead other there being a gun locker and safe in the walls behind the players desk, have the closed room behind the assistant be opened up as an armory to view every weapon the player owns, and the room across from the 3 laptops be opened as a vault and have it filled with cash depending on the funds in the players bank account.
The possibility to own a couple more properties, with all the new cars that will be dripping out every Tuesday, I feel horrible having to sell a good car that I want to keep to make room for a new car and I'm sure others feel the same.
Unlock the balconies in properties, like at the penthouses or stilt houses. Make it so that we can walk out onto the balconies instead of just looking through windows.
Pets being in players apartments and houses/adding animals to GTA online.
More tv shows and movies, or more episodes to existing series. More than just one video game on the office tv, and ability to play video games on TVs in other properties.
Open up the mechanic's area in the back of garages.
Make menus for property radios and TVs so that instead of guessing what channel or station the player is selecting, they can instead use the menu to quickly and easily select their favorite channel or radio station when directly interacting with them.
If mansions or more apartment/penthouse properties are added in future DLC, allow the purchase of extra rooms, like a pool or home theater.
Make the camper available for purchase as a mobile home property.
Make yacht more individually customizable, able to pick out all tents, pick colors and patterns separately, pick helipads, pick individual lighting. Color options wouldn't be limited, it would include all colors. Pick which helicopters and boats are stationed. Open up yacht engine room. Open up the 3rd-floor front exterior.
Add more room for yachts.
Fix interior inclined windows or remove inclined windows on the yacht.
Let doors inside yacht close.
Let security gates in the bunker close and open.
Add more rooms in bunkers.
Let players pick the paintings in properties.
Big downloadable content:
A DLC that would be based mostly on water, it could be business based or heist based. I understand you must get plenty of emails regarding a naval-themed DLC but I would at least like to pitch in my thoughts, I suggest first that either both or one of the two following watercraft be included and available for purchase: 1. The aircraft carrier or a variant of the aircraft carrier that would include aircraft and watercraft storage, a living quarters, an armory, and possibly a section where a battleship (either visually in game or said to be farther out away from the coast) would be ordered to bombard or strike a small section of the map. The explosions would be smaller and less damaging than the orbital strike but there would be 2-3 at once. 2. Bogdan's submarine or a variant of it, it would include mainly the same basic rooms but the aircraft and possibly watercraft storage wouldn't be available, which is why I noted that both could be included. Both would be able to move around the map in a similar fashion as the galaxy super yacht, and both would be own-able at the same time. Second, MK.II weapons and weaponized/non-weaponized watercraft. For the MK.II weapons, I would like to see the grenade launcher, minigun, RPG, sweeper shotgun, micro SMG, and ap pistol. These are just suggestions, you can use whatever weapons you feel should be upgradable. For the weaponized watercraft, two could be variants of the tug and dinghy, the dinghy would have a minigun on the front and the tug would have a huge cannon on the back and miniguns on the sides, maybe a walk-in interior could be opened up on the tug with cannons and miniguns in it. Maybe one of the new ships could be a pirate ship (more on that below), but I'm sure you all would be the experts in finding small warships to put into the DLC. Now depending on if this becomes a business or a heist will vary the features put in: 1. Bogdan's treasure: a small heist could be included involving Bogdan finding an old treasure map and recruiting a team of players to go out looking for the treasure whilst fending off multiple factions of enemies like Merryweather, the army, the FIB/IAA, and maybe the gangs of San Andreas (vagos, ballas, the lost mc etc.) that have also caught wind of the treasure. The heist would be available from the screen in the players facility (it bothers me that there is empty space on the screen when its just the 3 doomsday heists) or from a small island base, some of the freemode setups would include getting various naval ships from one of the many factions to use in mission setups to look for more clues, gather information, or follow the map through sonar or other navigation/detection methods. The finale would include the players finding a cave leading into a cove with a huge pirate ship filled with gold (think the goonies) but on the way there, players would have to fight through the multiple factions that they encountered in previous sections of the heist, at the very end they would blow a massive hole in the side of the cove exposing the ship to the outside of the map and sailing it away in a cinematic cutscene. 2. Marines and pirates: a business similar to the bikegunrunning would be available to the player, on the maze bank foreclosures website a cove (think Hitler's underground cove dock in sniper elite 4 where you kill him or that submarine lair in mechanic resurrection) would be purchasable to the player. Inside of the cove would be the regular rooms like an armory, living quarters, and the main business room, but there would be multiple closed off manufacturing sections that could be unlocked through "Purchasing" them, the computer inside would allow upgrades to be made to each section they're in. The player would gather supplies based on what section they're in, for example, if the player were resupplying the forge, they would go out and use sonar to look for lost gold that could be at the bottom of the sea and bring it back, or steal gold bricks from a shipment on land and bring it back to be melted and sold (like in story mode). A rare resupply encounter could be to steal a pirate ship from Merryweather or the IAA/fib and bring it back. The small island could be where the base of operations is located, or gates and doors would be added to the side of rock walls on the map along the water with a valve hatch being located above for on-foot entry. Bogdan's submarine variant could be stored in here as a moc/avenger type vehicle, while the aircraft carrier is placed outside wherever the player has it.
The nightclubs are opened up and either be a small business headquarters for trafficking or a hang out spot with a couple minigames, perhaps there could be different kinds like the hen house be a strip club and Bahama mamas be just a regular dance club or the player could choose what type of club the property would be. There could be a dancing mini-game be placed near a dance floor along with a fight club of sorts in the basement. It could also introduce Brucie as more than just a contact for bst or bring back a character from another title.
Another heist idea could be that the casino is robbed by the player and his team, they would be hired by Phoenicia rackman to rob the casino because it hasn't been paying its government taxes or something, so the players must take the money by force for her so that the IAA could be funded. The heist could possibly include some variants of that huge tunnel digger to reach the vault room, or the skylift, that could be used to pick up the entire vault and fly it away. It would be the fourth or fifth heist to appear in the heist room in the facility (if the naval-themed DLC above was used for a heist then this would fill the last remaining spot on the heist screen, though I would push for that DLC to be a business since I like the businesses). I don't think gambling would be a feature since it would probably be exploited or glitched, giving players insane monetary gain.
If the naval-themed DLC was used as a business then this heist could be the fifth heist on the screen in the facility. The altruists in Blaine County are taking over and assembling a small army of hillbillies, hobos, members of other various cults (children of the mountain, epsilon program), the O'Neil's, hunters, and possibly the lost mc to attack Los Santos and purge it, Phoenicia rackman has hired the players to infiltrate Blaine county and take back sections and loosen the grip of the altruists with the help of Trevor Philips, the finale is to infiltrate and destroy the altruist camp and end its tyrannical grip on Blaine county. The DLC would be more low-end than most of the recent content but I think some of the community would appreciate lower end content, stuff like pickup trucks and dune buggies and whatnot. Some of the heist vehicles could look like something out of mad max: fury road which I personally think would look insanely awesome, something like an armored bus with machine guns sticking out of the windows.
Civil service DLC: buy police stations and vehicles.
Continental hotel like from john wick.
Game modes & mini-games:
An adversary mode of hide and seek at night with all the lights out, like slasher but on a larger scale. Players would hide in a small section of the map like sandy shores, the player could stay in one spot for about 30 seconds before having to move away from that spot or else they would appear on the map. It could be played in vehicles too since it's in a much larger area, the hiders could be on Sanchez's and the seeker could be in a khanjali tank or weaponized Tampa.
A race mode idea could be something like motocross madness, where the maze bank arena is used for motocross races. There could also be an adversary mode that's a demolition derby or monster truck show.
Add more sports mini-games like bowling, archery, pool, table tennis, and triathlons, possibly add baseball too.
Add a 2 player hunting minigame.
Make official creator props and adversary modes for games such as deathrun, car vs gun, ramp climb.
Let players play mission minigames as video games. Like the doomsday laser hack, and lesters fleeca heist maze hack.
Player customization:
Have there be a gym placed in ls where the player could train their character and upgrade their stats, like the gyms from GTA: San Andreas.
Add more customization for the player's phone.
Make more actions and taunts, its been a while since any have been added.
Make some of the clothing options for male characters available for female characters, for example, the bow-tie that can just be on the male character without the proper shirt or jacket, and make some clothing options for the female character available for the male character, for example, the golden cuffs from ill-gotten gains. Maybe let players purchase the dunce hat too.
Add clothes exclusive or only seen in story mode, for example, the visor that Amanda wears during tennis, franklin's skydiving outfit, Trevors dress, triathlon outfits. Some hairstyles could also be added, for example, Trevor's mullet and beard, Franklin's afro. Additionally, let hairstyles and clothing from holidays be available permanently.
In the character creator, allow the players to change the size of their characters female breasts or male genitalia.
The possibility of this is highly unlikely, but make a no shirt/bikini clothing option for female characters or at least just nipple tape, the strippers are partially nude during lap dances, also the strange blue nipples could be taken care of. I really don't see this being implemented but I see no harm in suggesting it.
Choker chains.
Let players do their own makeup inside their home.
Looping actions or idle actions.
Add backpacks. Something more than parachutes.
Add football helmets, grilled shades, headbands, fezes.
Let players put on duffle bags and other restricted mission outfits.
Let players purchase the wrestler masks.
Let players color and choose the decals for clothes.
Add earbuds.
Bandana’s from bandana masks be separate if the player wants it that way.
Flaming skull masks.
Platform shoes.
Returning content:
Having the little things like free mode money trucks, mechanic vehicle delivery, the fireworks that were placed on the ground, very rare crate drops that held unique items. I understand if this one is a little tricky because they were already in the game but removed, but they could be tweaked. The free mode money trucks could be put in as a free mode event where players go around and try to make the most money off of robbing the trucks (besides, last time I checked there was a tattoo related to robbing trucks, and me being a bit of an "I must have everything" kind of person I feel incomplete to not be able to get that tattoo). For the mechanic delivery, in the vehicle interaction submenu options, it could be set to if the player wants their car personally delivered or just teleported near them. For the fireworks placed on the ground, I would just like to see that re-added into the game, I never got the chance to get any before they were taken but I'm sure I and many, many other players would be thrilled to have them back. As for the rare items that were rewarded from crates, I propose that either the crates be added back with the rare items and past holiday items, or have the items be purchasable but extremely expensive, possibly both.
Bring back assassinating targets for Lester in freeroam.
Add climbing mechanics from older GTA titles and possibly advance it with parkour.
Radio:
When someone has a self-radio, make it so that its not affected when someone changes the radio or if you're the passenger and the driver doesn't have a self-radio station let the passenger listen to theirs, also, I always find that it's never the station that is picked for my moc/avenger, property radio, and sometimes my own personal cars. Additionally, make an option for self-radio in the clubhouse jukebox.
If the player has headphones on then have music playing while they are on foot and in the interaction menu the player could change the radio stations.
Let self-radio play in stores.
Let self-radio play in the nightclub.
Pause menu:
In the report options of a player, allow there to be more specific modder report reasons, for example, some option in a "Modding" tab would be: god mode, money dropping, blame killing, prop spawning, mass killing, organization kicking (where a modder kicks someone from their own organization and makes them wait the 30 or so minutes). Additionally, when a player dies and they are in the menu trying to report, they're kicked out of the pause menu when they die, so when a player dies they can't report, and when a modder is blowing everyone up constantly they cant report them. Have the menu stay open even when the player dies. Also, let players report modding from the social club in case they are kicked by the modder and didn't get a chance to report them.
Let players throw away money so that they don't have modded money.
Let players view how long their friends have been offline.
Business benefits:
Cargo running is slow to fill 5 large warehouses so maybe there would be an option to fill the warehouse in large chunks, say by 10, the player and associates would go find either a semi-truck across the map and go retrieve it facing aggressive enemies the whole way back, or possibly 5 vans with 2 crates inside each van. Another option could be to fill the warehouse completely by going around all of San Andreas grabbing semi-trucks with 10 crates, moving trucks with 5 crates, and small vans with 2 crates inside them, all adding up to 110 crates and the final crate after collecting the 110 crates could be one of the 6 rare special cargo crates. However the buy option would be extremely expensive like perhaps 500 thousand to 1 million depending on how full the warehouse is already, if the warehouse isn't completely empty then the chance to get a rare special cargo would be reduced but if there are already a couple rare cargo in the warehouse then the chance to get another one would only be reduced slightly.
Have an option for the player to hire NPC associates or prospects, they would have tiers like the strike teams in the facility, level 1 would be free, level 2 would cost $5000 an associate, and level 3 would cost $10000 an associate, and they would be paid half their hiring price periodically. That way players don't have to go from session to session hoping someone joins them. The NPCs would be able to help fight and pick up separate cargo crates, they wouldn't be able to take cargo vehicles, they would attack other players based on a setting the player would have for them like the targeting system in the interaction menu, they could target strangers, attackers, or everyone. They would always be by the player's side and get into whatever vehicle they get in. They also wouldn't be able to take sell vehicles by themselves so players would have to hope to get something like the titan or tug if they're full of NPC associates.
Make securoserv associate vehicles like the enduro and the dune buggy CEO vehicles too.
Possibly a progress bar or something in clubhouses and offices to let players know when they've filled the property with a product, cargo, or money "Clutter" so that they don't have to guess and check.
Let CEOs invite members from an mc.
Business to manufacture new weapons for the player and make ammo.
In an organization or mc, if friendly fire is on let members lock on to each other.
Ability to choose organization color if not already taken.
Increase VIP/CEO/pres limit.
Allow players to customize the look and clothing of NPCs in business properties, like the bartenders, mechanics, and assistants.
Allow multiple CEO work missions to be active at the same time.
Crews:
Let players join more than 5 crews.
Give crew leaders the ability to change the crew name when editing their crew, and crew leaders also don't have to level up to 100 in their own crew.
Crew emblems on more clothes.
Let players put crew emblems on guns.
Crew emblems in more properties.
Map expansion/immersion:
Possibly add a small island to the right side of the map. Not as small as the one avi Schwartzman hides on but not as big as a whole map, something with similar beauty and just a bit smaller than great Inagua island from the assassins creed: black flag game. It could be a base for the naval DLC, or maybe if the pirate ship gets added, this is where it would be stored.
Open up fast food places. Like in previous GTA titles, the player was allowed to walk into a restaurant and purchase food to regain health. Possibly also add in fast food vendors around the map for a hot dog or something to quickly replenish health, I understand we have snacks but I feel that it would improve the game, and what if we've run out of snacks?
Open pier carnival games.
More carnival rides, like the drop tower.
Let players buy snacks from places other than the office, facility, or stores.
Let players buy clothes and tattoos from shops along Vespucci beach and on the pier.
Make arcade machines playable.
Add ladders to more buildings to climb on or add a grappling hook.
Let players rob safes in the back of stores.
Have it snow more often.
Annoyance fixes:
Don't force players into cargo warehouses when a crate or cargo vehicle is delivered.
Make an option in mors mutual insurance to claim all cars from all garages
Make older accessories wearable with newer accessories. For example, if I put on original earrings with a lowriders chain, it will remove the chain or earrings
Let players rearrange bicycles in garage bicycle racks.
Allow certain contacts to be blocked from calling or messaging. For example, block ljt from calling about businesses, or block Simeon from giving players a list of cars to bring to him.
Allow the player to disable gang attacks.
Allow players to call the car that's in the moc from office.
Assisted havok landing.
Add an option to stop players from changing the tv or radio.
Let players acknowledge new options in clothing stores and mod shops instead of having to scroll through everything to get rid of the stars.
When exiting a vehicle, don't force the last selected weapon in the vehicle to be the selected weapon on foot.
Let players run in their nightclubs.
Weapons:
Let players buy MK.II ammo in the interaction menu, but they would be very expensive.
Melee weapons on guns (bayonet).
Allow the player to select multiple bomb types at the same time, for example, the incendiary and gas bomb could be selected, so the bomb would create fire and gas. They would only be able to pick one of the two explosive types: explosive or cluster. If they picked three it could be an incendiary gas cluster bomb.
Knuckle dusters on both hands.
Let players buy molotovs, the railgun, the stun gun, and airstrike flares (doesn't bring airstrike)
MK.II melee weapons or just ammunation upgrades: spikes on the bat, flaming bat, and maybe projectiles like baseballs.
Add flamethrower, a heavy fire ax, sledgehammer, small shields for melee fights, sword, boxing gloves, crossbow/bow, kukri, chainsaw.
Add small sentry turrets that a player can call in for 1 minute before it self-destructs.
MK.II explosives: bouncy, cluster types.
Add cane and umbrella melee weapons that would also change the walk of the character to include the weapon.
Paintball gun for harmless firefights with friends.
Assault rifle with a grenade launcher attachment.
Emp grenades that would disable some explosives like sticky bombs, and jammers that could be placed on surfaces, including cars that would disable explosives until destroyed when shot or player dies.
MK.II tear gas with deadlier gas upgrades and canister upgrades like sticky, on impact.
MK.II grenade launcher with special grenades with fire, gas, cluster, and sticky, or on impact grenades.
Pulse detectors on guns, like thermal scopes but detecting heartbeats.
Add small drones that can be deployed on the ground or in the air and can be upgraded.
Ability to call in an equipment drop that has an upgradable riot shield and normal/MK.II-III ammo.
Add a device that holds multiple explosives that would activate with proximity, timer, or manual and launch 6 small upgraded explosives.
Add a helmet or scope that would allow players to detect electronics and explosives.
Add a sort of mini anti-air device that would explode rockets and grenade launcher grenades shot at players.
Stun grenades and mines that would act like a taser.
Small glass shields on guns.
Crossbow bolts with smoke or tear gas.
Scanner for footprints, in freemode it wouldn't matter unless the enemy used off the radar, it would be useful in deathmatch.
Multiple explosive upgrades: on impact cluster flashbang.
Allow players to purchase all ammo when in the interaction menu > inventory > ammo section.
Make the programmable AR purchasable
LMG Bipods
Make the golf club hide-able in the weapons lockers.
Vehicles:
Adding multiple modifications on vehicles, for example, the bodhi has options for vents, side steps, and headlight grills. I'd like it if I had the option to choose all three instead of just one.
If you're reluctant to let us own more properties, then make some of the unpurchasable and rare cars like the Phoenix or manana purchasable so that players won't feel too bad about selling them to make room for newer cars.
Add gogo monkey blista compact, space docker, and the blimp.
Let players customize or at the very least change the colors on pegasus vehicles (i know planes were allowed to be customized in the smuggler's run update, I'm referring to land-based pegasus vehicles).
Add rims that spin, like if there were a fidget spinner on the outside of the rim. Let tire designs be available on any type of rim, for example, the white walls of lowriders rims being on muscle tires.
Make plane windows tintable
Add more rims from cars with unique rims.
Roof options on the ruiner.
Assisted yacht helicopter landing.
Able to call bicycles from office or mechanic.
Speed racer type of cars with jump jacks and unique weapons.
Hot wheels type cars.
In the vehicle remote functions, let players roll their cars windows up and down.
Allow players to upgrade and customize the car that comes with the anti-aircraft guns.
Pegasus semi-trucks with trailers.
Add zeppelins and war blimps, like from guns of Icarus.
In garages or workshops, place a spinning display platform for a car to be showcased.
Let players transfer cars between garages without manually driving them.
Let players change the avenger propeller light color.
Colored sun strips on cars with sponsored sunstrips only.
Purchasable trailers for cars like the boat or generator trailers.
Let players put spoilers on the ramp buggy.
Let players modify the other 3 special vehicles in the vehicle warehouse.
Make the Speedo, Mule, and Pounder Custom more explosive resistant.
Contacts:
Ability to call Lester and have him make another players phone ring and not able to shoot before ending the call would take about 3 seconds to end it.
Some ideas for GTA Online that I think could really utilize this games full potential (Don't upvote but feedback 100% welcome)
I just wanna start by saying I'm absolutely in love with this game. Yes my character got deleted after about a week of playing, but honestly, I'm glad it happened now rather than several months down the road when my character would well more established. I knew there was gonna be problems, I braced for them and when online wasn't working, I just went and did something else. But honestly since last saturday I have not had a single problem playing this game, in fact my experience seems to get better every day. I wanted to make a post highlighting some things I think Rockstar could implement that would really spice up this game. Sorry if some of these have already been confirmed or denied.
Having crew hangouts. Basically just some really expensive property that can only be acquired by crews so that it can become their headquarters. One central location that all members are welcome, and you can even have rival crews come in and raid the place periodically to keep everyone on their feet. Crews can upgrade the interiors, exterior, security systems, weapons cache, escape routes, etc.
This goes in hand with the first idea: Having each crew run it's own "operations". Basically have it set up so that crews can make money if they take the time to set up illicit operations like meth labs, weed farms, moonshine distilleries and even smuggling for the more advanced members. Players individually work on a series of quests to secure their territory across the map, and afterwards it runs like a normal GTA business: get your money every week, except a percentage goes to the crew's purse as well. Periodically, rival npc gangs could start to attack and try to claim your territory, in which case you'd be forced to protect your business like every other one in the regular game. But it would be a good way for players to maintain a decent income, support their crew, and gain influence across the entire map while still getting some random events popping up every now and then.
Bring back home invasions. I know it was in San Andreas and it wasn't spectacular but I wanna think with the new Stealth feature not really getting much use in a game where you're basically required to go in guns blazing, at some point Rockstar would add something to exploit that trait. I just wanna clarify and say I don't mean players breaking into other players apartments, I mean only NPC apartments and houses. Put the best goods in the bedroom so that only people with high enough stealth can have access. If the homeowner wakes up, have ways to neutralize them without killing them or having the cops alerted. For the higher end homes, have an alarm system that must first be hacked in order to get inside. Hangars, Storage rooms, Warehouses, garages, apartments, etc. Break into gang headquarters (not crews) and rob their stash. Also I think it would be cool that depending on what you pick up, a different character will call you. For example, if you break into someone's garage and steal a high end car, Simeon will be your fence. Similarly, if you steal a rare antique, Martin would be your guy, or Lester if you found some kinda high tech or classified documents, or Trevor if you manage to steal a shit ton of drugs or steal a nice plane.
Prison breaks and Casino heists. Why else would they add both these locations if not to later implement them with some kinda cool mission. I feel a lot of people already subscribe to this theory and I can't wait to see if Rockstar does what we all hope they'll do with those two places.
Have players who constantly wreck other players in races become bad sports. Deliberately PIT'ing someone so they spin out in crash is basically unavoidable in races and I think penalizing players for acting like dicks would really smooth out the racing system. I might be the minority on this one but seriously, if you drive like that, you don't know how to drive. Also have players who camp outside Mod Shops and Gun Stores waiting for players to come out unarmed get penalized for being bad sports as well, because that's just down right cheap.
Be able to run in your apartment. Little thing but it just doesn't feel naturally just slowly walking around everywhere. I do however really love how when you're watching TV and another player in game is getting chased by the po-po, the TV will immediately switch to WEAZEL NEWS Live Coverage of the pursuit. I'd love to watch people on missions as well if possible, to see how others do them and also to to see how wrong I've been doing them.
More strategic ways of doing missions. What I mean is that I feel players more often than not approach every single mission with the mentality of running in, killing everyone in one sitting, and boom, mission over. 99% of the time they die, the mission fails and people end up leaving before restarting out of frustration. I wanna see dedicated roles in missions, like assigning who gets to go do what, just like in the regular game when Michael is telling Franklin to be the getaway driver, or Trevor to be on overwatch with the sniper, etc. Have the mission host assign positions, and each person has a specific role to play so that way each mission runs much smoother and more complex missions are coordinated better by players.
Also going in hand with the last idea would be some kinda classification system for players depending on what their strong point is. Things like Driver, Gunman, Overwatch, Control, Stealth, Pilot, etc. Depending on what achievements you unlock and how you generally act in game will determine which of the classes you'll be identified as, so when your doing a mission everyone knows their roles and the missions go much smoother.
More security trucks and the ability to blow up ATM's. I haven't seen a single armored truck in Online (not sure if they are even in the game yet) but I think adding these two ideas is just another way for players to get some quick cash with high risk.
Finally, add more features to store robbing. What i mean is that in some places, there is a back room with a safe and I feel players should be given the option to crack it at the risk of staying the store longer and thus letting the cops to close in. You can either clean out the register, or tie the clerk up in the back and break open the safe. More risk, more reward and gives players more flexibility when doing these quick jobs.
Anyways, please use this post to submit any more suggestions you might have and please please please feel free to tweak and build upon anything I've just posted. I don't claim originality on anything I just wanna see how creative the players can become. Thanks for reading. Edit: WHAT PART OF DON'T UPVOTE DIDN'T YOU UNDERSTAND?! No seriously, thanks for all the feedback and suggestions. This is the response I was hoping for and you guys delivered. Double secret edit: thank you to one guy who's downvoting all my comments.
What can we expect? And why did heists take so long anyway? (A Summary of the IGN Article)
Developing heists was much more complicated than Rockstar had expected them to be. One of the main issues was keeping every player occupied at all times. You know how in single-player, if Michael is a getaway driver, for example, and needs to wait outside, you just switch to Franklin or Trevor, and- boom!- you're now in the action. However, in online, you can't do this. Players can't just be sitting outside doing nothing while the rest of the crew commits the heist. Heists were started from scratch several times over the course of their development.
There are 5 heist "strands", totalling 20 missions (4 missions per heist on average). The total gameplay time needed to complete each and every heist in its entirety will be 20 hours. However, preparation missions will likely be completed simultaneously. They will be very replayable, and it will be worth completing the heists again with a different task or role.
Each heist require four people of at least rank 12. The leader must own a high-end apartment.
Crew-leaders (crew as in "team", not the GTAO organization) will pay out-of-pocket the cost of planning the heist. The leader gets to decide on outfits, cuts (of the score), roles, etc. Every member of the crew besides the leader will get a cash payout at the end of each prep mission. The leader will only receive his/her take when the finale is completed.
The crew will be able to choose the tactics (and probably the approach) they use in the heist.
Communication is key. Teams will sometimes work together, or may end up splitting up to complete tasks like crowd-control or holding off the police.
"We have several rewards for players as well, such as for playing all five heists in order with the same set of players and another bonus for playing all of them in first-person [mode] on PS4, Xbox One, or PC, as well as Elite Bonus Challenges, which are essentially a big cash reward if you complete each part of a heist while meeting certain criteria, such as time to complete, damage taken, accuracy etc." -IGN. This pretty much speaks for itself. Meet some criteria, do the job well, and you'll get a monetary reward.
"All through this, players will be gaining access to new vehicles, new weapons, new items and new clothing, as well as visiting some surprising locations and interacting with some familiar characters from the story." - IGN. It's possible that the new vehicles will only be unlocked after using them in a heist, though this is just speculation and hasn't been confirmed.
No confirmation yet if the casino is even in a heist at all, but it's quite possible. I would also expect it to be open in freeroam as well. Gambling might make a return from previous R* games like RDR.
We really don't know much about payouts. This could be the low-end of the spectrum, or it could be the high-end. This could be for one player, it could be for the whole team. We just don't know yet.
Q: Will heists be available for all consoles? A: Yes. PS3, PS4, XB1, XB360, and PC will all get heists. However, not all of the other content of the heist update (new vehicles, etc.) might make it into all versions.
Q: Can I transfer my character from PS4/XB1 to PC? A: YES! Characters will be able to be transferred (either again or for the first time) from next-gen to PC.
